WALK WITH ME AND NOT JUST WORK FOR ME – HE SAID

This I do day in, day out – bent over, tilling the ground, resisting all distractions, focusing on what must be covered – working very hard!!!

This day in the shadows I saw a figure close by and He tapped me before I knew it.

For a moment I thought to myself what distraction? At this time in my life?

He did not give me a chance to utter a word, took me by the hand, looked me in the eyes and said “WALK WITH ME AND NOT JUST WORK FOR ME”

Immediately I realized it was the Lord, the Monarch and Master of the Universe, My Lord, My Father, My Love, My Maker, My Redeemer, My Help, My Defender, My Comfort, My Healer, My Protector, The Lifter of my head, My Everything.

I sat with Him and asked “What do you mean Lord” and He began:

“Keep in step with, not ahead of me, nor behind me.

Obey Me at all times – where I want you to go, you go, what I want you to do, you do, ho I want you to be you become.

Love, because your life depends on it

Fellowship with Me in prayers and in the study of My Word.

Worship and Praise Me.

Let Me be glorified in your life.

Represent Me well on the earth and make Me FAMOUS.

As you walk with Me and not just work for Me my child, you are building Spiritual Capacity for the journey of life ahead”, He said.

WORRY – IT DOES NO GOOD!!

The Pantry is practically empty

Bank account is in RED

School fees are due for payment

Her shoes are too small, whao!! She needs a new pair

Awww…. Rent must be paid next month

Employee Salaries are due

The list is endless…

The Bible encourages us in Matthew 6: 25-34

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

And Philippians 4:6-7 says:”

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

How many of us hold on to these Scriptures?

A saying goes thus “Worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere”.

So why do we engage in this “Unprofitable Venture’. God does not want us to worry about anything, instead, pray about everything!!

We all need “A War Room”, “A War Corner”, “A War Couch”, “A War Chair”, “A War Anything” so far it is a place we make our request known to God, a place we can pray asking God ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.

IT IS TIME TO STOP WORRYING AS IT DOES NO GOOD, IT IS TIME FOR WAR!!!

JUST THINKING – STRATEGIES, RESOURCES, VICTORY…

STRATEGIES, you need the right strategies to win any battle.

RESOURCES, you need to have the right resources to win any battle.

Note, VICTORY is not accidental it must be worked out!!

God desires you seek Him wholeheartedly all the way, knowing that He has the right STRATEGIES and RESOURCES to ensure your VICTORY!!!

We all need PRAYER STRATEGIES, RIGHT WEAPONS and RIGHT PEOPLE as our RESOURCES for A LASTING VICTORY!!

Awaken the PRAYER WARRIOR within you!!!

Remember if you want victory, you have to first surrender to God and His grace is ever sufficient no matter where you are.

It is time to fight for your marriage, home, job, career, business, family, children, husband, wife take off your fancy gloves and take up the fighting stance!!

God is everywhere there is no magic in location you choose to pray just get rid of any distraction and focus your heart and mind on God and God alone.

Do not let the devil play with your mind any longer, get the lies, schemes and accusations of his out of your life as your joy and contentment is found only in Jesus.

God will fight for you as you hold your peace and hold His hands, He is faithful, powerful and in charge ALWAYS.

Spend more time with the Lord, stand on His Word and learn to fight the right way and teach as many people as God brings your way to do the same.

Nothing is unreachable when you trust in God of miracles, no such thing as impossible.

Never forget that ‘RIGHT RESOURCES, RIGHT STRATEGGIES ENSURE VICTORY!!’

MAY WE STAND THE TEST OF TIME…

Yes, we are all prone to offend and be offended but in it all our resolution should be – God be glorified in me. It is important we do a personal assessment of our lives, encourage people around us to do the same with the help of the Holy Spirit from time to time and make necessary adjustments.

Below are the lyrics of Don Moen’s song, When It’s All Been Said And Done:

When it’s all been said and done is a song by the Gospel Artist Don Moen
It is one of those songs that carry a lot of weight.
Reminding us of the very important things in life.
May we not be found wanting in Jesus mighty name.
Kindly read through or sing if you know it and be blessed.

When it’s all been said and done
There is just one thing that matters
Did I do my best to live for truth?
Did I live my life for you?

When it’s all been said and done
All my treasures will mean nothing
Only what I have done
For love’s rewards
Will stand the test of time

Lord, your mercy is so great
That you look beyond our weakness
That you found purest gold in miry clay
Turning sinners into saints

I will always sing your praise
Here on earth and in heaven after
For you’ve joined me at my true home
When it’s all been said and done
You’re my life when life is gone…

This song speaks a lot and I pray when all is said and done we will indeed stand the test of time. Amen.

THINK ON THESE THINGS…

I was at a Church programme over the weekend and I would like to share a few things spoken by the man of God for you to ponder upon:

1.  The greatest tragedy is a life without Purpose, remember it is not about how long or how short but how well.

2. The greatest challenge in life is knowing what to do.

3. The greatest mistake in life is being busy but not being effective.

4. The greatest failure in life is being successful in the wrong assignment.

Indeed, lets think on these things…

LESSON FROM MY TWO AND A HALF YEAR OLD GIRL

It was a fine Saturday morning, I had made some snacks earlier and was now busy fixing breakfast. Everyone from my Hubby to all the children were already snacking on…

My little two and a half year old girl came into the kitchen to pick one more puff-puff to eat when I told her breakfast is ready, immediately she dropped it and said “Mum, I am ready for food!!”

When this happened something ran through my mind – even though she was snacking on, she knew what exactly she wanted, and as soon as that which she wanted was mentioned she went for it straight on dropping the alternative.

This brings a lot of questions to my mind for us to answer – Do we know what we want from life? When we see it/them do we recognize it/them? How easy is it for us to let go of the alternatives that have over time looked like the real things?

Be encouraged, it is time to settle for the REAL THING no matter how long we have had ALTERNATIVES.

God bless.

NO CARRY OVER…

Whatever God is teaching you in this season purpose and resolve in your heart that you won’t carry it over. Go through it as a diligent student and it shall be well with you. Amen!!!

SHARE IT!!!

I have been thinking of late of the need to share our experiences – successes, failures, trials and temptations with people who need to hear them as God brings them our way.

The scripture says in 2 Corinthians 1:4 that “Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

Be encouraged today to share those experiences you have had in time past with those who are hurting at the moment.

Just a word from you from your heart as led by the Holy Spirit can turn around the tide of a brother or a sister, can save a life, be not ashamed to SHARE IT!!!

AND GOD REMEMBERED…

I tried to find out what ‘Remember’ means in the dictionary and I came up with the followings: it means to recall to the mind by an act or effort of memory; think of again,  to retain in the memory; keep in mind; remain aware of and to have (something) come into the mind again.

I was not satisfied with what I got because I know God does not forget – He does not have mental lapse.

I had to do a little bit more of research and found out that when we say ‘God remembered’ we mean He acted on the knowledge of us that He had is on His mind.

A lot of us, if not all of us have at one time or the other had the feeling of abandonment. This is not strange as we have several examples of such in the scriptures but God remembered them.

An example is the story of Sarah in Genesis 21:1 – And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

Also the story of Rachael and Leah in Genesis 30:22 – And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.

Also when  the children of Israel were in Egypt under the taskmasters we were told Gid remembered them. This is in Exodus 2:23 – And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.

We also have Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:1-19, with our emphasis on verse 19 – And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the Lord , and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the Lord remembered her.

We will be using this story as our case study as we look at the process Hannah went through for her remembrance to happen
1. She never gave up, she kept seeking God year in, year out.
2. She sought God in fasting and prayers , with heartfelt tears.
2. She made a vow
3. She was a meek woman despite all that Eli said she was not rude
4. This made her get the blessing of a Man of God
5. There was a restoration of her joy
6. She then Worshipped
7. She and her husband played their part – Elkanah knew his wife
8. Then God remembered them

And when God remembers, He delivers in totality. Our God will remember us in Jesus name.
